“Written in early 2021 as yet another COVID surge raged, the aptly named ‘Empty City’ sees Todd reflecting on and struggling with the deep isolation and psychological gauging that set in during a dark winter as the pandemic approached the one year mark. ‘Empty City’ is also the title track to a forthcoming album from Todd inspired by film noir.”
